B for Booths

Explore all Goldcast Studio terms starting with B

Backstage

The private virtual area in Goldcast events where speakers and organizers can prepare and communicate without being seen or heard by the audience. For example, speakers join the backstage to discuss last-minute details in a private chat before going live on the stage.

Backstage Chat

A private chat for backstage members to coordinate during a session, hidden from attendees. Example: Moderators remind speakers of time cues in backstage chat.

Blog Tab

Every time you upload a video, Content Lab automatically creates an initial blog post under the Blog tab as a starting point. You can edit this post and generate additional blog posts using the Generate Blog Post button. Each blog post appears in the left panel list when the Blog section is selected.

Booth

A virtual sponsor booth in a Goldcast event for partners or exhibitors to showcase content. Attendees can visit Booths during events to view sponsor materials or chat with representatives, and their time or clicks in a booth are tracked as engagement activities (for example, “Attended Booth” or “Booth CTA Click”). Example: Our conference featured several sponsor Booths where attendees could download product brochures and speak with company reps.

Brand Editor

A Goldcast Studio user role (also referred to as Brand Manager) focused on branding elements of events. A Brand Editor can manage organization-level templates and event branding settings like Look & Feel themes, logos, and email templates. They cannot create or delete events, but ensure all events adhere to branding guidelines. Example: A Brand Editor updates the company’s logo and color scheme in Goldcast so that every new event automatically uses the correct branded template.

Brand Kit

A centralized repository within Content Lab where organizations store brand elements — colors, fonts, template backgrounds, intro/outro videos, and voice profiles — to ensure consistent branding across all clips and generated content.

Breaks

A scheduled interval in an event agenda with no active presentation, used for downtime (for example, coffee breaks or transition periods). In Goldcast multi-session events, “breaks” can be inserted into the agenda to pause content between sessions. (Smart webinars, being single-session events, do not support separate break segments.).

Buffer Video

A looping video is shown before a session starts to engage waiting attendees. Example: A countdown buffer video plays until the keynote begins.
