Landing Page
The public-facing event page where registrants and attendees access event information. Includes details like title, description, agenda, and entry points.
Lite Mode
A viewer option that switches the event UI to a low-bandwidth, simplified mode to help attendees who experience video or audio lag. In Lite Mode, the attendee sees a lower-data version of the stream, and certain interactive features are disabled (for instance, Raise Hand is not available in lite mode). This mode is only available for live sessions (not for pre-recorded, RTMP-in, or on-demand content). Example: One attendee had a spotty internet connection, so she clicked the toggle to enter Lite Mode – the stream became more stable for her, though she couldn’t use the Q&A or join the stage while in that mode..
Liveboard
A workspace where custom reports can be pinned and saved for ongoing access. Liveboards allow grouping of multiple related reports in one view. Example: Pin a monthly on-demand view report to a liveboard to monitor trends over time.
LLM (Large Language Model)
AI models used by Content Lab to analyze transcripts, generate summaries, and identify key video moments.
Location Field
The field in the event setup where organizers specify the venue name or address. This information automatically syncs with calendar invites and attendee communications.
Local HD Recording
A high-definition recording captured locally from each speaker’s computer (through their browser) during a session. Goldcast’s local HD recording feature stores the video, audio, and screenshare feed on the presenter’s machine during the live event and uploads it to the cloud afterward. This yields a higher quality recording that isn’t affected by momentary internet issues. Example: Even though a guest speaker’s internet was spotty during the live stream, Goldcast captured a crisp local HD recording of her presentation, which was uploaded after the session, resulting in a clear replay video.
