Vanity URL
A custom web address for a Goldcast series registration page (often using the organization’s domain) instead of the default Goldcast URL. Setting up a vanity URL (a branded link) for the series page provides a more memorable and branded experience for attendees. Example: The event organizer configured a vanity URL for the series, so that attendees accessed the registration page via a branded subdomain rather than a Goldcast-generated link.
Verification Code
A security code sent via email during account sign-up or password reset. Users must ensure they use a business email and check their spam folders if they don’t receive it.
Video Block
A type of content block in Goldcast used to showcase videos on event pages or hubs. By adding a Video Block to a page, organizers can display a collection of videos (with titles, thumbnails, and descriptions) in a chosen layout. For example, when building an on-demand Video Hub page, an organizer adds a Video Block to feature several recorded webinar videos for visitors to browse and play.
Video Chapters
Video Chapters divide long recordings into smaller, named sections for easier navigation. Chapters can be auto-generated by Content Lab or manually added and renamed. They provide viewers with quick access to specific topics or segments without scrolling through the entire video.
Video Clip
A short, bite-sized segment of a longer video created in Content Lab. Clips are saved as .mp4 files and can be up to 3 hours long.
Video Gate
A lead-capture gate applied to video content in Goldcast, which requires viewers to fill out a form before they can watch the video. A Video Gate uses a form from the Goldcast Form Library to “gate” the content, helping organizers collect viewer information (like name and email) in exchange for access. For example, the team enabled a Video Gate on their on-demand product demo video, so prospects must enter their contact details in a short form before the video begins playing
Video Hub
A branded, customizable collection of on-demand videos hosted on a Goldcast page. A Video Hub lets organizers curate multiple videos (recorded webinars, product demos, customer testimonials, and so on) into one navigable hub that viewers can explore – either on a Goldcast-hosted microsite or embedded in the company’s own website. For example, the company created a Video Hub of all their past webinar recordings and embedded it on their resources page, giving visitors a one-stop library of video content to engage with.
Video Library or Content Library
The centralized repository within Goldcast for all video content associated with your workspace. The Video Library stores event recordings (from live sessions), videos created in the Recording Studio, uploaded media files, and clips published via Content Lab, making it easy to manage and reuse video assets across events. Example: After the conference, all session recordings and highlight clips were available in the Video Library, allowing the marketing team to quickly retrieve and share selected videos with attendees and stakeholders.
Video Overlays
Video Overlays allow you to place additional videos—such as b-roll, event highlights, or product demos—on top of your main recording. These overlays can be resized, repositioned, trimmed, or styled, giving editors more creative control without needing external video software. They enhance storytelling and add professionalism to final outputs.
Voice Profile
A brand voice configuration added to the Brand Kit, allowing AI-generated text (blogs, emails, social posts, takeaways) to mimic an organization’s tone and style. Profiles are created using brand guidelines, example copy, or manual setup.
Video Q&A
A format where attendees join the stage briefly on video to ask questions. Example: Attendees raise hands to join for video Q&A.
