Email Builder & Scheduling Tool
A feature in Goldcast Studio to create, customize, and automate event emails. Includes confirmation emails, reminders, and calendar invites for attendees.
Email Preheader
A short summary text that appears next to or below the subject line in email inbox previews (also called preview text). In Goldcast emails (invites, reminders, and so on), you can customize this hidden snippet to entice recipients to open the email. If no preheader is set, email clients typically show a truncated portion of the email’s first line instead. Example: Without a custom preheader, an invite email might display the first sentence of the email body as the preview (which could be incomplete or out of context).
Email Tab
An AI-generated email newsletter or update based on your video. Content Lab auto-generates a draft Email for each uploaded video (found under the Email tab). Multiple email posts can be created by clicking Generate Email Post. Use these as informative, engaging emails recapping your video content.
Emojis (Voice Profile Criteria)
One of the stylistic elements Content Lab’s AI analyzes when building a voice profile. The use or avoidance of emojis in sample content influences the generated text tone.
Engagement Panel
The sidebar where attendees access chat, Q&A, polls, and resources. Example: Attendees download handouts from the engagement panel.
Engagement Settings
Pre-event configuration where organizers enable or disable interactive features such as chat, Q&A, polls, and surveys.
Enterprise Plan
The highest Goldcast pricing tier designed for large-scale and enterprise needs. The Enterprise plan includes the largest base allotment of organizer seats and advanced features. For instance, it comes with 10 included platform users by default and supports multiple Team Workspaces (for example, 2 team workspaces included) for departmental separation. Example: A global enterprise on the Enterprise plan can have at least 10 team members using Goldcast Studio and can separate their events by region or department using team workspaces, all while enjoying premium support and feature access.
Event (Goldcast)
The standard Goldcast event type for conferences or complex programs. An “Event” in Goldcast can be single-session or multi-session and may be virtual, in-person, or hybrid. It supports advanced agenda features like multiple tracks, breakout rooms, sponsor booths, and scheduled breaks. Example: A multi-day virtual summit with parallel tracks and sponsor expo booths should be set up as a Goldcast Event (as opposed to a simpler Webinar) to leverage these features
Event Admin
An Event Admin is a Goldcast user role with administrative control over specific events (but not the entire organization or all teams). Users with this role can edit and manage the events they are assigned to, including modifying event details and content. Example: A marketing manager, given the Event Admin role, can set up and run a particular Goldcast webinar for the marketing team without accessing events outside their scope.
Event Blueprint
In Goldcast, an event blueprint is essentially a reusable event template (often used for event series or repeating events). It defines a preset configuration for events so organizers can duplicate settings. Certain features may vary by event type – for instance, Goldcast supports custom field mapping for single-session events and multi-session webinars, but not yet for series and repeating event blueprints.
Event Code
A unique identifier or shorthand for an event, often used for quick access links, integrations, or internal tracking.
Event Dashboard
The central hub for managing event details after creation. Displays summary information such as date, time, description, agenda, registration status, and integrations.
Event Duration, Date, Time, and Time Zone
Core scheduling information used for attendee invites, reminders, and agenda synchronization. Changes here directly affect calendar invitations.
Event Editor
A default user role in Goldcast Studio that can edit event details and content, but has limited administrative scope. An Event Editor can create and modify sessions, pages, and basic settings of an event, but cannot change organization-level settings like integrations or branding, and cannot delete the event. Example: We assigned our marketing specialist as an Event Editor so she could update the agenda and speaker bios for the event, without giving her full admin rights to the whole platform.
Event Engagement Activities
A set of 21 attendee interaction events that Goldcast tracks during an event. These activities include actions like registration status changes, session attendance, Q&A participation, poll responses, resource clicks, and so on, and they can be automatically sent as custom engagement data to integrated platforms (CRM/MAP).
Example: Goldcast logs an Event Engagement Activity when an attendee asks a question during the Q&A. This activity can then sync to HubSpot or Marketo as a custom event (“Event Q&A”) associated with that attendee’s record.
Event Engagement Score
A quantitative score from 0 to 10 that Goldcast calculates for each attendee once an event concludes, reflecting their overall engagement. The score is a percentile based on weighted criteria (e.g. questions asked, resources clicked, time spent, poll participation) and can be passed to integrated systems as a custom activity.
Example: An attendee who stayed through all sessions, participated in polls, and asked questions might receive an Event Engagement Score of 8.5 – indicating high engagement – which the sales team could use for lead ranking in Salesforce.
Event Hub Page
A centralized landing page for attendees to access multiple events, recordings, and related content hosted by an organization.
Event Kit / Swag
Physical or digital items distributed to attendees at check-in, such as badges, agendas, or branded merchandise.
Event Moderator
A staff member who manages audience interactions, Q&A, and polls while staying backstage. Example: Moderators approve questions before publishing them in Q&A.
Event Producer
The role with full backstage and on-stage control, able to manage layouts, sessions, and engagement tools. Example: Producers start sessions and launch videos on stage.
Event Space
The attendee-facing environment of a Goldcast event – essentially the stage and surrounding interface that viewers see during a live session. This is where the live broadcast plays, including the speaker video, slides, polls, and other activities visible to the audience. Example: The keynote presentation streamed in the Event Space for all attendees, while the host and speakers saw additional controls in their backstage view.
Event Template
A reusable configuration that applies branding, engagement, email, and registration settings to new events. Helps standardize look and feel across events.
Event Type
A classification of the event being created in Goldcast (for example, Virtual, Hybrid, or In-person). For Field Events, the In-person tab must be selected.
Event Series
A collection of related Goldcast events grouped under a common series title. This feature lets organizers run a sequence of events (for example, a weekly webinar series or multi-part conference) and manage them collectively. Events in a series share a common registration page and branding, making it easier for attendees to sign up once and attend multiple sessions. (Smart webinars can be part of an event series, meaning you could include a smart webinar as one episode in a broader series.)
Event Stage
The attendee-facing event interface where the live sessions and content are presented. It’s essentially the virtual “stage” or main event space that attendees see when they join. Attendees watch sessions, submit questions, answer polls, and engage in chat on the Event Stage. Example: If an organizer opts not to use the Attendee Profile Page landing, attendees will enter directly into the Event Stage to view the keynote session. (By contrast, presenters and producers have a backstage view separate from what’s happening on the Event Stage.)
Event Tags
Labels applied during event setup to categorize and organize events (for example, Webinar, Product Launch, Customer Event), making it easier to manage and filter within the Goldcast dashboard.
Export
The process of saving a processed video clip outside of Content Lab, typically after trimming, captioning, or editing.
