Page Builder

The drag-and-drop page design tool in Goldcast allows organizers to create and customize event pages (such as the Event Hub or other attendee-facing pages) using pre-built blocks. Page Builder provides a set of “Blocks” – modular elements like text boxes, images, agendas, speaker bios, and so on – that can be added and arranged to design a functional and branded event page. This gives organizers flexibility to tailor the look and content of their event hub or registration pages beyond default templates.

Payload

The JSON data format Goldcast uses to send registrant or engagement information via webhooks. Example: A registration payload includes fields like name, email, event ID, and custom field values.

Pinned Message (Chat)

A message highlighted in the attendee chat or backstage chat so it stays visible at the top. Typically used for announcements, instructions, or key reminders.

Platform Seat

A standard Goldcast user seat (license) that provides full access to the Goldcast Studio platform for event management. Most organizer and admin roles use Platform seats. For example, if you have a Platform seat and the Organization Admin role, you can access all event features. Platform seats are part of the base subscription (as opposed to add-on Content Seats). (Notably, you can assign a user to a Platform seat but restrict their role – for example, make them a Content Lab Editor – which limits them to Content Lab despite using a Platform seat license.)

Polls

Interactive questions launched during an event to engage attendees and collect feedback. Polls appear on the attendee view and can be managed by organizers.

Post-Registration Redirect

A feature that sends registrants to a specific webpage immediately after they submit the event registration form. In Goldcast, this is implemented by adding a small script in the Tracking Pixels & Tags settings. The script (added in the “Form Submission” code section) typically uses a window.location.href command to point to your desired URL. Example: After someone registers, you could redirect them to a custom “Thank You” page or a survey. For instance, placing window.location.href = "https://www.yourcompany.com/thank-you"; in the form submission code will automatically take the user to that URL once they complete registration.

Pre-Event Checklist

A structured guide for organizers to verify readiness before event day, covering setup, technical checks, and content review.

Premium Plan

A higher-tier Goldcast pricing plan for organizations that need more capacity and flexibility than Pro, but may not require full enterprise scale. The Premium plan typically includes the same base 5 user seats as Pro, and allows add-ons like Team Workspaces (multi-team support) as needed. It often offers advanced features and higher limits (such as more simultaneous events or integrations) compared to lower tiers. Example: A mid-size company on the Premium plan has 5 Goldcast Studio user licenses included and can purchase the Team Workspaces add-on to enable separate workspaces for their marketing and customer success teams.

Pre-Recorded Video or Segment

A video uploaded and scheduled to play during the event. Organizers or speakers can share these as part of their presentations, ensuring consistent delivery.

Pre-Submitted Questions

Questions submitted by attendees ahead of the event. These can be managed in the same panel as live questions, allowing smoother moderator prep.

Profile Icon

A clickable avatar located in the top-right corner of the Content Lab interface, used to access account settings and preferences.

Pricing Tier

The subscription level (Starter, Pro, Premium, Enterprise) that determines access to features such as Field Events. For contracts after March 2024, availability is tied to pricing tier.

Primary Language

The main language used in an event. Determines caption generation and interface language for attendees.

Producer

The highest-level session role in the Event Space, akin to a host or technical producer of a live session. Producers have full backstage and on-stage control during an event session. They can go on stage on video, share content, moderate attendee engagement, and generally “run the show.” Every Goldcast event’s creator is automatically a producer for that session, and additional producers can be assigned. Example: During a webinar, the producer starts and stops the broadcast, switches between speaker cameras and slides, and launches polls – they have access to all controls, ensuring the session runs smoothly.

Pro Plan

Goldcast’s mid-tier pricing plan intended for growing organizations. The Pro plan includes more capacity than Starter – for example, it comes with 5 base organizer seats/users to accommodate a larger team. It supports all core Goldcast features for virtual events, though multi-team functionality (Team Workspaces) is not included by default on Pro (it would require an upgrade or add-on). Example: A company on the Pro plan can have up to 5 team members building or hosting events in Goldcast, which works well as their marketing team expands its webinar program.

Publish

Publish is the final step where edits made to recordings, clips, or overlays are confirmed and applied. Once published, the updated version is stored and ready to be shared with viewers, ensuring all enhancements are preserved.
