How To Access On Goldcast Studio Platform

Introduction
The Audio Overlay feature in Content Lab allows you to enhance your videos with music, voiceovers, and sound effects — all without leaving the editor. Whether you’re adding a subtle background track or a dynamic intro jingle, this feature helps you bring your brand personality and storytelling to life directly within Goldcast.
Available for: All videos using Recording Studio Recordings and Recording Studio Clips.
Why Use Audio Overlay?
Adding audio elements can significantly elevate the viewing experience for your audience. You can use Audio Overlay to:
- Reinforce your brand through consistent sound identity.
- Enhance engagement by adding energy and atmosphere.
- Simplify editing — no need to export to third-party tools.
- Improve storytelling by syncing music or effects to key moments.
Step-by-Step Guide to Adding an Audio Overlay
- Log in to the Goldcast Studio platform.
- Go to the Content Lab module, click Show all, and select the video you want to edit.
Note: To add audio overlay for clips, navigate to the Clips section and follow the similar steps outlined below.
- Click Audio on the customizer menu to the right of the video.
- Upload your audio overlay file. A loading indicator will appear until the upload completes.
- Once uploaded, the overlay will appear on the timeline as a new block.

Notes and Limitations
- Only one audio overlay upload at a time is supported — however, you can add multiple audio tracks to your video by uploading them one after another.
- Ensure audio overlay is under 100 MB for smooth performance.
Adjust Volume
Fine-tune how loud or soft your audio overlay sounds in your final video.
Steps
- Select the audio track on the timeline.
- Use the Volume slider to adjust the volume for a balanced sound.
- Play back your video to test the audio balance against speech or other sounds.
Tip: Keep background music 50–70% lower than spoken audio for clarity.
Note: Volume changes are applied in real time — no re-render required.
Move Audio Across the Timeline
Easily reposition your audio track to align with visual cues or specific video moments.
Steps
- Click and drag the entire audio track left or right on the timeline.
- Drop it at your desired start point.
- Use the timeline markers to align precisely with scenes or transitions.
Loop Audio
Make your background music repeat smoothly across the entire video.
Steps
- Select your audio track.
- Toggle on the Loop Audio option. The looped track will extend visually across the timeline.
Tip: Ideal for ambient or instrumental music that runs the full video length.
Note: Ensure your looped audio doesn’t overpower dialogue or narration.
Trim Audio
Adjust where your audio starts and stops.
Steps
- Hover over either edge of your audio track in the timeline.
- Drag the edge inward or outward to shorten or extend playback.
Tip: Use trimming to sync background music precisely with the start or end of a speaking segment or scene transition.
Delete Audio
Remove audio tracks you no longer need.
Important: Deleting audio removes it only from the current timeline — you can re-upload it later from your system.
Steps
- Select your audio track.
- Click the trash icon to remove or delete the audio overlay from the video.
Note: Once you finish editing your video with audio overlay, don't forget to Publish your changes. Publishing ensures your overlays and edits are saved and reflected in the final version of your video.
Troubleshooting
